Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden.
Random shots taken at the Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden in Richmond, VA. Given the fact that it's a botanical garden, there are varieties of plants in the garden, together with many impressive landscaping. Click on http://www.lewisginter.org/visit/facilities.php for more info. We went there for a picnic event, so we didn't finish touring the entire garden. Might return to the garden in the near future when the heat dissipates.
flowers ...

there is a greenhouse in the garden, but we didn't go in during the visit.
next time ... we'll make it.
a pond, with some lotus plants, with lotus flowers ...
and lotus seed head!
it's BEE-utiful!
lily?
Sunflowers ...
You're my sunshine ... !
Don't-know what flower ...
Apple trees!
I think this is Granny Smith. My guess.
Oh how I love these basil plants ...
Corn plant.
Tempting ... isn't it?
There is a Children's Garden in the Botanical Garden, where many hands-on activities, plays, adventure pathways, farm gardens, and etc are featured. The basil plants, the apple trees, the corn plants, and many other herbs and vege plants like tomatoes can be found here. It was so fun to walk around. I am sure kids will love it here.
This spot is designated for the parents while the kids have fun exploring the garden.
Was told that I am not eligible to be at this spot yet. Bleh. I better run away ... ha!
